All sergeants are equal but Tiiga is more equal then others

When Tiiga found out his virtual career in Imperium was a flatliner he decided to start his own organization. The initial values and principles are actually quite good. Everybody is equal and all have the same rank (sergeant). Why not, it is quite ridiculous to hand out virtual military ranks in a game like this and worse, to feel yourself a very important being because of such a rank.

But there is a problem. You not only have ranks, you also have roles and security levels. Server admins will need to look after the hardware and software. Others will need to act as moderator to keep the peace and settle disputes. And you have people who must process the administrative mutations from the member databases. Not to mention recruiters and hosts on chat-channels. All the roles demand certain powers and authority. And there goes the equality. Some members are more equal then other members because they have too.

And this is Tiiga's biggest flaw, he cannot deal with it. He will give his loyal minions just the bare minimum of what they need to do their job. No-one gets full power. This makes daily management a tough cookie. And that is because of Tiiga's second mistake. From his point of view the game is not ready for the next four years, he does not see the need for any activity. He just can't understand people want to be around, talk about the game, about the ships, about living the dream of The Verse.

"Join XPLOR, shut-up and wait" has been Tiiga's mantra for  the past two years. The second mantra Tiiga spreads is that Imperium charges membership-fees and have a website that cost ~ 1200 dollar per year and that Tiiga is giving all to XPLOR for free. So again, shut-up and be grateful for all the miracle things Tiiga does for XPLOR.

The third mistake is that systems are overdue for maintenance and because there are no active server admins available, an outage is usually for days and even weeks. The central system xplor.today is monitored on distance by a minion who usually responds within a day but the TeamSpeak server has had several outages because no-one is able to acces it at admin level except Tiiga.

Because of this the members who try to make XPLOR look alive, usually burn-out in a period of a year or two and leave. Tired and frustrated of running in walls Tiiga built around his precious Kingdom. No other founders are left or active. It is just Tiiga who is not active as well but peeks around once a month.

How does one usually leave XPLOR as active member? Well, the answer is surprisingly simple: Because of a dispute with Tiiga. Every ex-member we interviewed for this Black Book has the same experience with a similar pattern:
1. One works very hard to make XPLOR look alive.
2. One runs into the limitations of the hardware, software or organization setup.
3. One tries to fix the limitation by proposing an improvement.
4. Ones initiative gets sooner or later blocked by Tiiga, usually in a blunt and rude manner.
5. One complains in chat, forum or PM and angers Tiiga.
6. One gets the choice, eat it or leave or one gets banned instantly.
7. One usually leaves if not banned.

In the past two years such experiences happened in the recruiting department, in the peace keeper department, in the technical infra department, in the member administration department and last but not least in the department where XPLORS Ship Program was managed (separate topic in the Black Book).

And here we run into the next paradox; Tiiga's self-fulfilling prophecy. Because of the reason Tiiga does not trust anybody he drives good members away enforcing Tiiga's believe he just cannot trust anybody.

In February 2017 the last large group of active player broke away from XPLOR. XPLOR is in deplorable state when in March there is an argument on Discord about a ship. The argument itself was innocent but Tiiga pops up and bans the one who started the argument instantly.  All sergeants are equal but Tiiga is  more equal then others. The Code of Conduct is not for him but by him. XLOR is run by a dictator.

Tiiga's Data Mining Scheme

When you sign up for services like FaceBook, Gmail and Discord you know they will use your data for data mining purposes. It says so in their terms of usage and privacy.

What people do not know is that XPLOR communications is monitored and tapped by Tiiga. We refer to the website http://www.xplor.today, XPLOR Discord & Team Speak Servers. But that is not all, he has also a bot running, collecting posts made on the RSI forums.

Basically, he can trace any member and any account on history. His plan is to start planning a secret Black Ops division when the game comes closer to completion. Intel is key, That is why.

Scripts and bots for his data mining were made by two minions.

On Tiiga's defense, more organizations practice the art of data mining. But it would only be fair he tells you when you sign up for XPLOR.

Some information about the scripts and systems:

The core of Tiiga's system is http://www.xplor.today. It is an outdated version of phpBB forums. Looks and content are heavily overdue for an overhaul. It looks horrible and it is a maze of categories, forums and subforums, jammed with posts from 2014 and 2015 made by long-time gone members. Nobody is able to clean it up because only Tiiga and a minion have the right access levels.

The database from xplor.today runs several scripts to collect and send data to and fro RSI-forums, XPLOR Discord and ts.xplor.day. Many scripts are outdated and broken and the reason why the phpBB version is not updated, it will break everything.

Tiiga is desperately looking for new coders who can rebuild and update the scripts. He cannot do this, he has a huge dependency on people who can. Here is also his Achilles heel, he does not trust anybody so nobody can get near his precious system.

We have proof to underpin our bold statements. Tiiga currently does not have the scripts/bots to tap into Spectrum, the new system from RSI. Everything posted and said in Spectrum does not enter his database. And he is rather paranoid about this.

1. He refused to transfer ts.xplor.today to a new TeamSpeak server. Despite the fact the old server broke down several times in 2016 and was down for several weeks. 
2. He locked down the Spectrum forums from the start, members are forced to use the XPLOR phpBB forums for obvious reasons.
3. He wanted to shut down the Spectrum chat channels from the first day because Discord was better (Discord has a bot running sending to his central server).

So, Tiga is data-mining to keep track of his members and affiliates' activities. Is it a crime? Well, RSI/CIG is very against scripts tapping their data. Furthermore, it is very paranoid and not decent to do this behind your members back.

Introduction

Star Citizen is a cool game. That is, it will be when it is finished somewhere in 2025. Right now, it is a patchwork of different alpha modules, all part of Chris Roberts dream and lifework named Star Citizen.

Star Citizen's core will be a persistent universe which by all means will be huge. Started as a crowd funding initiative it now makes money on selling spaceship concepts. 1.6 mio backers and about 140 mio dollar. From which a team of 350 people is building a huge game.

In 2014 Star Citizen implemented the Organization Module. Clans, tribes, factions, you can start or join any organization and by now there are hundreds of them. Small (1 person) up to organizations counting > 13.000 players.

Such an organization is XPLOR. And XPLOR was founded by a group of players unhappy in other organizations. One of the founders is the character Tiiga.

In 2017 XPLOR counts 5.000 members and 8.000 affiliates. Their charter implies that all members are equal. However, one is more equal then the others, and that is the remaining founder, Tiiga.

Tiiga is an extremely difficult person to work with. He is usually against changes and will exercise his power to block anybody and anything against his will. Players get expelled and banned from XPLOR, messages not in his favor will be deleted and all together Tiiga rules with an iron fist and with lies.

Despite all the work from others, according to Tiiga, XPLOR is his and his succes only.

However, there was and still is something rotten in his Kingdom and this Black Book is written to warn you for Tiiga and his secret ops plans. We will write about meta data collecting by Tiiga, attempts to make you fund money for an organization fleet and later in game pay a huge percentage of your in-game profits to XPLOR.
